David Atkinson
David first became drawn to the Yogic path in 1999 when he took
up Transcendental Meditation, then in 2000 ‘stumbled’ upon
posture work (asana) through a close family friend. He practiced Iyengar
Yoga and was introduced to the vinyasa form via Buddhist Yogi Sudaka shortly
after.
He is a registered Yoga teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance UK and holds
a 200 hour teaching diploma in which his teacher was Brian Cooper and
is currently studying for his 500 diploma also under the guidance of Brian.
David has been teaching since 2004 and has attended numerous other workshop
& retreat training's with a variety of established teachers from all
backgrounds of Yoga.
He teaches the ashtanga form with an ‘open minded’ approach
and is mindful to suit the level of class to the students and their requirements.
Dan Burt
Dan Burt has been teaching yoga for the last 3 years. He has
studied with many of the greatest 'first generation' teachers of ashtanga
yoga, in particular Nancy Gilgoff - the first western woman to learn and
bring back the ashtanga system to the west.
He has specifically studied the art of adjusting having been trained
extensively on this effective and classical method of teaching, and is
able to guide students comfortably throughout the entire primary and second
series of ashtanga yoga. As a result of this tuition, and through his
own personal practice, Dan teaches with a firm sense of tradition and
compassion.
Jambo Truong
Jambo has been practicing ashtanga Yoga since 2003 and holds his teaching
diploma from Kevala and has attended workshops hosted by Nancy Gilgoff,
Brian Cooper, Matt Ryan & Sarem to further his development.
He holds a degree in Integrated Health in which he practice's Acupressure,
Ayurvedic Yoga Bodywork, Oriental Body Balancing (Structural Release:
Chinese Chiropractic & Physiotherapy) & Reflexology. In addition
he is also an acupuncturist & Reiki Master practitioner. Techniques
from these bodywork therapies are used in his adjustment methods.
Jambo’s yoga teaching background started with young people. He injects
fun & light heartedness into his classes by using partner yoga &
visualization to take beginners and adepts through the primary series.
